BRINC Partnership Gives Public Safety Agencies an “Immediate Upgrade” in Incident Intelligence

June 24, 2026 by Miriam McNabb Leave a Comment

BRINC and Nova Partner to Add Advanced Mapping and Thermal Intelligence for Public Safet

Public safety drone manufacturer BRINC has announced a new partnership with Nova Software Company aimed at bringing advanced aerial mapping and data analysis capabilities to first responders. The companies say the integration will allow agencies using BRINC drones to turn aerial imagery into actionable intelligence for emergency response operations.

The partnership connects BRINC’s LiveOps platform with Nova’s aerial intelligence software. Agencies using BRINC Responder can set up a mapping mission, collect imagery, and upload data directly to Nova for processing without additional hardware. According to the companies, the workflow provides incident commanders with mapping products, data analysis tools, and operational intelligence to support decision-making during active incidents.

“Fire departments, law enforcement agencies and emergency response teams are operating in increasingly complex and dangerous environments,” says Blake Resnick, Founder & CEO of BRINC. “This partnership with Nova gives our customers an immediate upgrade in how they see and respond to critical incidents. And now, with Guardian, we’ve built the most capable thermal mapping solution public safety has ever had access to.”

Expanding the Public Safety Drone Ecosystem

BRINC has built its reputation around drones designed specifically for public safety missions. The Seattle-based company supplies US-manufactured indoor tactical drones, drone-as-first-responder solutions, and communication tools that help law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency managers gather information while reducing risk to personnel.

According to the company, more than 900 public safety agencies use BRINC products. The company has focused on developing an integrated ecosystem that combines aircraft, software, communications capabilities, and remote operations tools.

The new Nova integration adds another layer to that ecosystem by providing mapping and intelligence products that agencies can use during emergencies. Nova’s platform offers capabilities including live streaming, hotspot detection, panoramic imagery, real-time collaboration, and aerial data analysis.

Thermal Mapping with Guardian

The companies highlighted BRINC’s recently introduced Guardian platform as a key part of the partnership. Guardian carries two radiometric HD thermal cameras designed for public safety applications. When paired with Nova’s software, the system can generate heat maps and identify hotspots in near real time.

The capability could support a range of missions, including structure fires, wildfire response, search and rescue operations, and emergency management activities where thermal data helps responders understand changing conditions.

“Partnering with BRINC puts Nova’s platform directly in the hands of agencies already in the field saving lives,” says Robert Atwood, CEO at Nova Software Company. “BRINC’s operational platform paired with Nova’s aerial intelligence software means incident commanders have better information, faster, and that translates directly to safer outcomes.”

The offering provides an end-to-end aerial intelligence solution that combines drone hardware, operational software, mapping tools, and data analysis into a single workflow for public safety agencies. The integration is available immediately for agencies already operating BRINC Responder systems.
