The company’s Texas facility has delivered nine eBee VISION kits to Fort Irwin and begun shipping MicaSense sensors to commercial customers.
EagleNXT says its facility in Allen, Texas, has delivered nine eBee VISION drone kits to the U.S. Army’s National Training Center at Fort Irwin, California. The delivery fulfills an order the company announced in April 2026.
The company also says the Allen facility has begun shipping its updated MicaSense RedEdge-MX sensor to commercial customers. Together, the shipments mark progress in EagleNXT’s plan to produce drones and sensors in the United States.
“Domestic production was a stated objective when we established our headquarters in Allen. It is now an operating reality,” said EagleNXT CEO Bill Irby.
Drones for Army Training
Fort Irwin uses the National Training Center to prepare Army units for demanding operations. EagleNXT says the eBee VISION kits will support opposing force exercises, unit training and counter-drone instruction.
The company shipped its first Allen-built eBee VISION units to Fort Rucker, Alabama, earlier this year. It says the Fort Irwin delivery adds to the Army’s use of the drone at training centers and operational units in the United States and Europe.
The eBee VISION is a hand-launched, fixed-wing drone designed for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance. According to EagleNXT, it offers up to 90 minutes of flight time and a video link range of up to 12 miles. It carries a zoom camera and offers thermal imaging as an option. The company says the system is NDAA compliant and Blue UAS Cleared.
Sensor Shipments Begin
EagleNXT is also shipping the RedEdge-MX multispectral sensor from an assembly and testing area at the Allen facility. The company released the updated sensor in July 2026. It says a new metal enclosure improves durability in harsh field conditions.
Allen serves as EagleNXT’s North American hub for eBee VISION production, MicaSense sensor manufacturing and ThirdEye USA counter-drone assembly. The company says production in Texas also creates more capacity at its Swiss facilities for international customers.
“Shipping both drones and sensors from Allen shows EagleNXT is already operating on that footing, with U.S.-made, procurement-eligible systems moving from our floor to the field,” Irby said.
The shipments show how EagleNXT is using one U.S. facility to serve both defense and commercial customers. The Fort Irwin delivery provides a specific measure of its drone output, while the RedEdge-MX launch extends the Allen operation into commercial sensor shipments.
