Nevada-Based Companies Collaborate on Advanced Aerial Imaging for Government and Commercial Use
A New Collaboration for Enhanced Aerial Sensing
Drone America, a U.S. manufacturer of uncrewed aerial systems (UAS), and SpecTIR, a specialist in hyperspectral imaging technologies, have signed a new strategic agreement. The partnership will focus on delivering advanced aerial imaging solutions for use in government and commercial operations.
The two Nevada-based companies aim to combine Drone America’s long-endurance drone platforms with SpecTIR’s advanced sensors and analytics. Their goal is to create UAS-based tools for critical applications like mineral exploration, environmental monitoring, infrastructure assessment, and disaster response.

Shared Roles and Capabilities
Under the agreement:

SpecTIR will supply hyperspectral sensors and offer data collection, processing, and analysis support.

Drone America will handle airframe design, sensor integration, flight testing, and client demonstrations.
The companies also plan to jointly develop business opportunities in the U.S. and select global markets. They will share insights and coordinate on outreach to industries where remote sensing can offer clear value.
