Epirus and Digital Force Technologies Partner on Integrated Counter-UAS Kill Chain

February 25, 2026 by Ian McNabb Leave a Comment

Epirus and Digital Force Technologies (DFT) have announced a partnership to deliver a fully integrated counter-UAS kill chain, unifying their technologies across detection, tracking, identification, localization and non-kinetic defeat of unmanned aerial system threats.

Under the agreement, Epirus leads systems integration of DFT’s Seraphim command-and-control and multi-modal sensor fusion software with the Leonidas high-power microwave platform.

Leonidas Targets Drone Swarms with Electromagnetic Interference

The Leonidas platform uses electromagnetic interference to disable onboard electronics and neutralize drone threats. It supports software-based, operator-defined safe zones for scalable, low-collateral engagement. At a 2025 live-fire demonstration, Leonidas defeated 49 drones simultaneously with a targeted electromagnetic burst. The platform targets AI-controlled, fiber-optic guided and swarming UAS that can evade legacy electronic warfare systems.

“Leonidas was designed to maximize interoperability with partner technologies,” said Andy Lowery, Epirus CEO. “This collaboration marries our systems integration and swarm defeat expertise with DFT’s edge processing and automation knowhow to deliver exactly what our customers are asking for: a flexible, adaptable and fully integrated counter-UAS kill chain for critical point defense missions.”

Seraphim Brings Autonomous Drone Threat Prioritization

DFT’s Seraphim platform operates on a modular, sensor-agnostic and effector-agnostic architecture. It fuses real-time data to autonomously prioritize drone threats and moves operators from detection to response with speed and precision. Seraphim combines sensing, decision support and effects coordination through a single unified interface.

“Integrating Seraphim with Epirus’ Leonidas high-power microwave platform extends AI-enabled decision making through the defeat layer of the counter-UAS kill chain, delivering a turnkey detect-to-defeat capability,” said Justin MacLaurin, Digital Force Technologies CEO. “This partnership reflects a shared commitment to scalable, interoperable systems that give operators faster, more effective solutions to defeat evolving drone threats.”

The companies plan joint U.S. government demonstration activities and expect to present the complete counter-UAS kill chain solution later in 2026. More information on Epirus is available from their website. More information on Digital Force Technologies is available from their website.
