Vector and Nammo Partner on Kinetically-Integrated UAS Platforms

February 27, 2026 by Ian McNabb Leave a Comment

Vector, a Bluffdale, Utah-based defense-as-a-service company, has announced an agreement with Nammo Defense Systems Inc. to integrate and supply munitions for Vector’s kinetically-integrated UAS platforms. The partnership targets small unmanned aerial systems built for active battlefield requirements.

American-Made Platforms, Allied Munitions

Vector develops small-UAS systems led by former Tier-1 special operations personnel. Nammo Defense Systems Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Norway-headquartered Nammo, brings decades of expertise in advanced ammunition and energetics. Together, the companies are producing American-made kinetically-integrated UAS with allied-manufactured munitions and National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)-compliant supply chains.

Andy Yakulis, CEO of Vector, framed the agreement around urgent Pentagon demand. “The Pentagon urgently needs to fulfill a high demand for small UASs with validated, safe kinetic integration, and we stand ready to scale and meet those needs,” Yakulis said.

Purpose-Built Munitions for UAS Integration

Nammo Defense Systems’ contribution centers on purpose-built munitions scaled for diverse UAS platforms. The company describes its munitions as combat-proven and designed specifically for UAS compatibility — a distinct requirement from conventional ammunition.

Ben Carpenter, Director of Field Operations at Nammo Defense Systems Inc., highlighted the operational urgency. “This agreement will create systems that meet the urgent operational demands facing warfighters today and in the future and exemplifies the kind of allied industrial cooperation essential for maintaining battlefield dominance,” Carpenter said.

Scalable Production for Modern Warfare

Vector’s defense-as-a-service model focuses on delivering systems that integrate and evolve at operational pace. The company serves military, law enforcement, and public safety customers with both unmanned and counter-UAS systems. The Nammo partnership extends Vector’s kinetically-integrated UAS capability with a validated, scalable munitions supply chain — a key requirement as small-drone deployment accelerates across modern conflict environments.

Nammo operates across 27 production sites in 11 countries, with more than 3,700 employees, and brings established defense manufacturing scale to the integration program.
