The DJI Mini 3 Portable Camera Drone Revealed Today! Pocket-Sized, Under 249 Grams

The pocket-sized DJI Mini 3 can be taken anywhere, and at under 249 grams it is exempt from most drone regulations in several parts of the world. Its 1/1.3-inch camera sensor records in 4K/30fps HDR and takes 12MP photos with True Vertical Shooting to create content optimized for social media platforms.

Australias First Hydrogen-Electric VTOL Drone: H3 Dynamics and Carbonix Partner

H3 Dynamics and Australia’s UAV producer Carbonix have partnered to develop the first Australian hydrogen-electric VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) drone. Australia’s Carbonix is a drone manufacturer expert in advanced composite manufacturing, aerostructure design and sophisticated control systems for vertical and landing capabilities. H3 Dynamics has been working on hydrogen drone technology for over 15 years, and has just released a ground-breaking hydrogen-electric nacelle technology.

Heavy Fuel Engines for Heavy Lift Drones: Orbital UAV and Animal Dynamicsheavy fuel engines heavy lift drones Orbital UAV, Animal Dynamics

Integrated propulsion systems leader Orbital UAV and uncrewed aerial logistics company Animal Dynamics have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).  The two companies will work together to explore initial concepts for a heavy fuel engine system for Animal Dynamics’s Stork-STM, a heavy lift UAS designed to carry up to 135 kg for a maximum range of 400 km in harsh environments. Orbital UAV will leverage its experience with industry leading engines capable of operating in extreme temperatures, and will aid in accelerating Stork-STM’s commercial deployment.

Edgesource Corporation has announced the launch of EdgesourceX, a commercial Counter-Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) provider committed to the creation of reliable and scalable C-sUAS solutions.  Over 870,000 drones are currently registered with the FAA, and the public safety and healthcare, arena, and critical infrastructure sectors have all struggled to manage the influx of unauthorized drones. The risks posed by these invading drones range from attacks and collisions to espionage and invasion of privacy.

Zipline in Rwanda: By 2029, Roughly 2 Million Instant Deliveries
Today, instant logistics and deliveries leader Zipline announced a new partnership with the Government of Rwanda to conduct roughly 2 million instant deliveries and fly over 200 million autonomous kilometers in Rwanda by 2029. The new partnership will see Rwanda triple its delivery volume through the addition of new delivery sites nationwide, while also opening Zipline’s service to any agency within the government. This will enable Rwanda to provide innovative and environmentally friendly logistics and delivery, as well as make it the first country in the world to be able to make autonomous instant deliveries to its entire population.
