Drones Provide Real-Time Data to Support Rescue Efforts
Nagarkurnool, Telangana – Garuda Aerospace has deployed its consumer drone, Droni, to assist the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) in an ongoing rescue operation at the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel collapse. Eight workers became trapped on February 22 while repairing a water leak inside the tunnel.
Drones Enhance Visibility in Hazardous Conditions
The rescue effort has faced serious challenges due to heavy water and mud infiltration, making visibility extremely poor. Garuda Aerospace’s drones are being used for mapping, strategic planning, and locating the trapped workers. The drones provide real-time video feeds, helping rescue teams gain a clear view of the tunnel’s interior despite the difficult conditions.
