Drone operators who are interested in expanding their skills should register for the two-day intensive aerial mapping workshop immediately following DroneDeploy Day. Studies show that rates for aerial mapping jobs exceed rates for drone jobs in aerial photography and other applications, but aerial mapping requires a specific set of skills in addition to good flying.

The seminar will cover drone mapping, aerial photogrammetry, and an introduction to the DroneDeploy mapping platform. Class work will be interspersed with flight training sessions, where participants will learn to collect 2D mapping data and 3D modeling data correctly. This is a detailed training program that will give students the skills they need to work on mapping missions in construction, agriculture, and architecture and engineering.
