FAA Waiver Allows DEXA to Extend Drone Delivery Reach and Efficiency
DEXA (Drone Express) has achieved a significant milestone in its mission to streamline last-mile logistics through autonomous drone deliveries. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has granted DEXA a Part 107 Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) waiver for operations in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This waiver marks a pivotal step for DEXA, enabling longer-distance flights without the need for direct visual oversight.
The BVLOS waiver allows DEXA’s drones to operate beyond the pilot’s visual range, making it possible for them to cover greater distances than previously allowed. This approval not only expands DEXA’s delivery reach but also enhances operational efficiency, supporting the company’s vision for rapid and accessible service for more customers.

The BVLOS capability is essential for scaling drone delivery services, especially as the demand for faster, on-demand delivery grows. DEXA’s use of BVLOS extends the range of each flight, maximizing the flexibility of its service for a diverse customer base.
