Commercial UAV Expo Americas: The Show that Got it First

February 25, 2019 by Miriam McNabb 4 Comments

Drone shows are the best way to see all of the new technologies out there, meet real people from the major players in the industry – and get the best education on best practices, best techniques, and new regulations.

But as the industry has evolved, many drone companies have to focus on their customer verticals rather than other industry players.  Commercial UAV Expo Americas gives the best of both worlds – they were the first to organize the show according to the customer segment, rather than the drone.  That means that whether you are in major enterprise trying to learn about drones or shop for new solutions, a drone operator looking to expand your skills for a specific job, or a drone company who needs to meet customers, this show makes it easy.  That’s why Commercial UAV Expo is one show you can’t afford to miss.

The following is taken from a press release from Commercial UAV Expo Americas.

Organizers of the fifth annual Commercial UAV Expo Americas, the leading commercial drone event in North America, have announced an impressive list of hundreds of exhibitors and supporters for the 2019 event October 28-30, 2019 at the Westgate Resort in Las Vegas.

“Industry leaders have clearly cast their votes for the leading commercial drone event of 2019. With over 100 booths already sold and over 200 media and association supporters signed on, Commercial UAV Expo Americas is leading the pack among commercial drone events in 2019,” said Lisa Murray, Group Director at Diversified Communications, organizer of the event. Last year’s event boasted2,350 attendees from all 50 states and 40 countries, and 168 exhibitors filling 230 booths of best-in-class UAS solutions, more than any other commercial drone event.

The list of supporters is growing daily, and currently includes trade media, portals, analysts, associations, user groups, government entities and non-profits on six continents.

Commercial UAV Expo Americas takes place October 28-30, 2019, with pre-conference programming and workshops on Monday October 28 followed by conference programming and exhibits on Tuesday October 29 and Wednesday October 30.

In addition to the exhibits, Commercial UAV Expo Americas has extensive programming, offering both general sessions and breakout sessions that delve deeply into UAS for specific vertical industries.  Vertical industry sessions focus on construction; energy & utilities; forestry & agriculture; infrastructure & transportation; mining & aggregates; public safety and emergency services; security; surveying & mapping.  “Not only is the content critical to these professionals, but the connections forged are priceless,” said Ms. Murray.  Additional features of the programming are vendor-delivered Product Previews, Exhibition Theater Programming, and live Outdoor Drone Demonstrations.

The event draws vertical industry end-users from across North America and around the world. “Commercial UAV Expo America is unique in that we’re able to attract highly qualified vertical market buyers to our events.” said Ms. Murray. “Our content and exhibit floor are developed with the large enterprise end-user/asset owner in mind. Our beginnings in surveying and mapping events more than 15 years ago have enabled us to reach professionals in industries including energy and utilities, infrastructure and transportation, construction, surveying and mapping, and more.”

Attendees at the 2018 event represented leading organizations including AT&T, Google, ConEd, Major League Baseball, NBC News, US Department of Energy, Facebook, Los Angeles Fire Department, Chevron, Uber Elevate, Pacific Gas & Electric, and many more. The full list can be found here.

Registration is available online here. Commercial drone professionals are encouraged to register early for the best conference pricing. Exhibit-only passes are free in advance of the event.
