PCS Edventures!.com, Inc. (PCSV), a developer of K-12 Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programs, has entered into a License Agreement and signed a memo of understanding with MultiGP, the world’s largest FPV drone racing league to leveraged FPV drone racing as a tool for engaging students in STEM topics. “Drone racing is the ‘carrot,'” said Robert Grover, EVP at PCS Edventures!. “Once you have their attention, the aerial robotics platform provides a total STEM solution for students.”
This past spring, MultiGP perfected their student racing platform with the first ever National Collegiate Championship, a FPV racing tournament held at Purdue University with over 28 other colleges. With actions in place to greatly expand the Collegiate League, MultiGP is also bringing their world-class race management software to Jr. and Sr. High Schools with a Scholastic League.
By partnering with MultiGP, PCS Edventures! will utilize MultiGP’s global community of drone enthusiasts and skilled event organizers, providing them the opportunity to become local sales or support contractors for the Discover Drones program. An initial drone community survey was conducted in May, and over 170 applicants responded, submitting resumes and qualifications to aid in the expansion of the Scholastic League and Discover Drones program.
Todd Wahl, President, and COO of MultiGP said, “We are excited to be working with PCS Edventures! to launch this scholastic network in the coming school year. Their high-quality, hands-on approach to STEM education is exactly what is needed to bring drone education successfully into the K-12 classroom.”
