Xenosky is poised to launch the world’s first family drone, the Loop. The Loop delivers a premium level drone experience at an economic price with a feature set – portability, ease-of-use and sharing – that brings fun to the whole family. Our goal is to “make drone technology more practical for everyone to enjoy,” said Anthony Spicer, Chief Marketing Officer at XenoSky.
Xenosky is a family oriented company that builds products designed to enhance sharing and the family experience.
The Loop Family pack, when released, will be an all in one package that includes a drone, gimbal, bag, 4K action camera and FPV goggles. While a price has not yet been set, it is expected to be below the cost of similar products currently on the market.
The company’s priority right now is to overcome the final engineering hurdles necessary to successfully launch the Loop.
An Indiegogo campaign launched this week. Regarding that, Spicer said, “We want to differentiate ourselves and gain interest from those who want to help us achieve our goals. We are not another ‘fly-by-night’ company looking for handouts, but rather a group of people who want to offer fun drone experiences to everyone.”
Xenosky is an American company based in China which lets them take advantage of the growing engineering talent and the well-established manufacturing base. The cost savings from being based in China are passed on to consumers. However this also presents challenges for a startup. According to Spicer there are difficulties entering foreign markets. To this end they have put together an international team with a staff that includes Europeans, Asians, and Americans. This enables the team to understand cultural differences and and deal with them directly from the start.
Longer term the company plans to launch additional drone products that consistent with company values. These might include a waterproof drone and racing UAVs. Specific development efforts will depend on the direction the technology takes and changes in regulations; but the expectation is that consumer drones will become increasingly more popular and an accepted part of modern life. The growth of the Internet of Things and advances in artificial intelligence are sure to offer new and exciting opportunities. “It is an exhilarating time.”
