This month’s guest is aviation operations expert Michelle Duquette, Founder and CEO of 3 MAD Air. Duquette brings decades of experience spanning airline dispatch, FAA collaboration programs, operational airspace management, and emerging aviation technologies.
The discussion will explore how lessons learned from traditional aviation operations are shaping the future of drone integration, advanced air mobility, and increasingly automated flight systems. Duquette’s career began in the demanding world of aircraft dispatch operations in the Northeast corridor, where weather, congestion, and maintenance coordination required constant operational decision-making. Over time, she moved into leadership roles within the aviation industry and became involved in early FAA-industry collaborative initiatives that helped shape modern traffic management practices.
Those programs evolved into many of the operational tools now familiar across aviation, including Ground Stops, Ground Delay Programs, and collaborative decision-making frameworks used to manage the National Airspace System safely and efficiently.
Today, through 3 MAD Air, Duquette works across government, industry, defense, academia, and public safety sectors on emerging aviation challenges. Her work focuses on integrating new technologies and operational models into increasingly complex airspace environments.
