Commercial UAV Expo Releases 2026 Conference Program Focused on “Actionable Insights”

May 21, 2026 by Miriam McNabb Leave a Comment

Community feedback shapes event agenda centered on real-world drone operations and practical takeaways

Commercial UAV Expo has announced its 2026 conference program, highlighting a strong focus on practical education and operational experience for commercial drone professionals. The event will take place September 1-3 at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Organizers say this year’s program was built directly from feedback gathered from the commercial drone industry. Earlier this year, event organizers surveyed operators, pilots, service providers, fleet managers, and enterprise users to determine what attendees most wanted from the conference experience.

The resulting program includes more than 50 sessions under the theme “Actionable Insights.” According to organizers, the sessions are designed to provide information that attendees can apply immediately in the field.

Commercial UAV Expo serves a broad range of industries using drones, including energy and utilities, construction, agriculture, infrastructure, and transportation.

Focus on Practical Operations

The conference agenda reflects several major themes currently shaping the commercial drone industry. Sessions will address topics including beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations, artificial intelligence, workforce development, data integration, and operational safety.

The event announcement comes as the U.S. drone industry continues to prepare for the FAA’s anticipated Part 108 rulemaking, which is expected to expand routine BVLOS operations for commercial drone programs. Many enterprise drone operators are already building workflows and safety systems designed to scale once new regulations are finalized.

According to the event organizers, the goal is to move beyond theory and focus on practical implementation.

“When we surveyed the commercial drone community about what they need from a conference, the message was consistent: practical content, grounded in what operators are actually doing. That shaped every content decision for this program from the tracks we built, the session formats we chose, and the voices we sought out. From BVLOS implementation and workforce development to AI in the field and sector-specific operations, the goal was always the same: send people home with something they can use the following Monday, and beyond.” — Matt Collins, Content Manager, Commercial UAV News

Organizers say attendees will leave with practical information on topics such as integrating aerial and ground-based data, scaling drone programs, hiring and training staff, and evaluating where AI and autonomy can realistically be deployed today.

The conference will also include discussions around safety practices based on real operational incidents. According to the announcement, sessions are intended to provide “answers, not just ideas.”

Exhibit Hall and Co-Located Events

In addition to the conference sessions, Commercial UAV Expo 2026 will feature an expanded exhibit hall with drone manufacturers, software companies, sensor providers, and service firms.

The event will again include co-located programming from DRONERESPONDERS, the public safety drone event presented by AIRT (Airborne International Response Team). Public safety drone operations continue to represent one of the fastest-growing segments of the commercial UAS industry, particularly in areas such as search and rescue, disaster response, and drone as first responder (DFR) programs.

The exhibit hall will also feature the Pilot Hub, presented by Pilot Institute. Organizers say the area will include hands-on sessions and talks designed for attendees across different experience levels.

“Our focus is truly what sets Commercial UAV Expo apart. The conference and exhibition is built entirely around the goal of serving the proven and real needs of the commercial UAS community. Every session, exhibitor, and conversation on the show floor is centered on how UAVs are being used right now to improve safety, increase efficiency, and deliver measurable results across industries. That focus is what brings the right people to Las Vegas every year, and it is what makes the connections and conversations here so valuable.” — Adrianne Madden, Event Director, Diversified

Commercial UAV Expo is produced by Diversified’s technology portfolio, which also includes Commercial UAV News, Geo Week, and Digital Construction Week UK. Organizers say the full conference schedule and registration information are now available on the event website.
