DroneShield Secures $6.2 Million Counter-Drone Contract for Asia Pacific Military Deployment

December 30, 2025 by Ian McNabb 1 Comment

DroneShield Limited has announced a $6.2 million standalone contract from an in-country reseller for delivery to a military end-customer in an Asia Pacific country. The reseller is a wholly-owned subsidiary of a multi-billion dollar, global, publicly listed customer that is contractually required to distribute solutions to a major Asia Pacific military government department. The solutions include selected third-party hardware, interoperable with DroneShield’s command-and-control software platform, DroneSentry-C2. DroneShield expects to complete the delivery and receive payment in 2026.

DroneSentry-C2 Platform Specifications

The DroneSentry-C2 command-and-control platform serves as the central system in this deployment. Built on a modular and scalable architecture designed for both horizontal and vertical scaling, deployment options include secure cloud hosting or pre-provisioned on-premises server configurations.

The DroneSentry-C2 system integrates both DroneShield proprietary sensors and third-party counter-UAS sensors and effectors through its open architecture design. Integration capabilities include DroneShield’s DroneSentry-X Mk2 RF sensors for UAS detection and defeat, DroneOptID camera-agnostic optical/thermal camera AI software, and SensorFusionAI, the company’s sensor-agnostic 3D data fusion engine. The platform utilizes a RESTful API that enables seamless integration into existing security systems.

Command-and-Control Capabilities

The DroneSentry-C2 platform incorporates DroneShield’s proprietary SensorFusionAI artificial intelligence engine, which aggregates and cross-references data from multiple sources including radio frequency, radar, optical sensors, and recently integrated ADS-B aviation surveillance data. This approach reduces false alarms by more effectively distinguishing conventional aircraft from drone threats.

Established Distribution Partnership

This contract represents the 15th standalone order DroneShield has received from this particular reseller within the past two years, bringing their cumulative business relationship to more than $48 million. The distribution partnership demonstrates sustained demand for integrated counter-drone solutions in the Asia Pacific defense market.
