GeoCue Expands LP360 with Advanced Visualization Tools

October 7, 2025 by Miriam McNabb Leave a Comment

New 3D Model Mesh and Gaussian Splatting Add-Ons Unveiled at INTERGEO 2025

GeoCue has introduced two new visualization features for its LP360 software platform at INTERGEO 2025. The company announced the release of the 3D Model Mesh Add-On and the Gaussian Splatting Add-On, designed to improve realism and deliverable quality for users working with the TrueView GO handheld LiDAR system.

Enhancing LiDAR and Imagery Workflows

The 3D Model Mesh Add-On allows users to transform LiDAR point clouds and captured images into high-quality textured 3D mesh models. These models are designed to provide professional, shareable outputs for client presentations, design reviews, and project interpretation. The tool automates mesh generation and streamlines post-processing, making it easier for surveyors and engineers to work with complex datasets.

The TrueView GO handheld LiDAR sensor, available in 116S and 132S models, captures data in indoor, outdoor, and underground environments. When paired with LP360 and the new add-ons, it enables professionals to generate 3D textured meshes and advanced visualizations. For proper processing, GeoCue notes that the add-ons must be activated prior to data collection.

Introducing Photorealistic Visualization

The Gaussian Splatting Add-On expands LP360’s visualization capabilities through immersive rendering. When used with the TrueView GO’s 360 Photo Kit, Gaussian Splatting generates life-like representations that differ from traditional surface-based meshes. These immersive outputs are intended to provide clients and project stakeholders with a clearer view of real-world environments.

“By integrating 3D Model Mesh and Gaussian Splatting directly into LP360, we’re empowering surveyors, engineers, and geospatial professionals to create richer deliverables, streamline workflows, and enhance collaboration,” said Frank Darmayan, COO of GeoCue Group. “LP360 continues to evolve to meet the needs of our users, delivering advanced processing and visualization tools that set a new benchmark for the industry.”

Industry Perspective

The company emphasizes that these features build upon LP360’s role as a central processing and visualization platform. “LP360 is at the forefront of the processing and visualization technology,” said Vivien Heriard-Dubreuil, CEO of mdGroup, parent company of GeoCue. “In addition with the colorized point cloud, with tools like Gaussian Splatting and 3D Model Mesh, our customers can extract the most value from their visual data and deliver powerful, real-world results. These advancements highlight GeoCue’s leadership in bringing cutting-edge research into practical, everyday workflows for the geospatial community.”

Availability and Demonstration

Both add-ons will be available in LP360 following INTERGEO 2025. Live demonstrations and sample workflows are being showcased at Booth 12.1/G.054, allowing attendees to experience how the add-ons integrate into existing workflows. Processing the new visualization tools requires a high-performance computer with modern graphics capabilities.
