New Features Address Customer Feedback and Advance Operational Efficiency
Arcsky has announced the launch of the X55 V2, an upgraded version of its X55 industrial drone. The company developed the new model based on two years of operational feedback and technological advances, aiming to meet the complex needs of industrial applications.
“The X55 V2 represents our commitment to continuous innovation and meeting the evolving needs of our customers,” said Wilson Lau, co-founder of Arcsky. “This update incorporates cutting-edge features that streamline operations and improve reliability in the most challenging environments.”
Key Features and Improvements
Enhanced GPS System
The X55 V2 introduces dual Here 4 GPS modules for enhanced accuracy and reliability. These modules use the u-blox F9P dual-band RTK navigation system, enabling advanced features like a moving baseline RTK option for areas with magnetic anomalies or high-voltage power line inspections. This upgrade allows the GPS system to estimate yaw without relying on compasses.
Refined Mechanical Design
The drone’s main body, precision-machined from a single aluminum block, now features a design that improves stiffness and reduces vibration. This enhancement results in 15% better control system performance. The O-ring-sealed body allows reliable operation in light rain. Additional updates, including redesigned arm holders and landing gear, enable quicker setup and teardown without tools.
Master Payload Connector
The X55 V2 introduces a rugged mil-spec master payload connector. This versatile system supports nearly all market payloads and simplifies integration with a standardized interface. Arcsky ensures that all supported payloads include a compatible mating connector, enabling seamless transitions between current and future technologies.
AUX Port and Power System Improvements
The AUX port remains intact, while the accessory power system now features an XT60 plug for increased flexibility with third-party payloads. The XT60 output voltage can also be customized, offering users tailored solutions for specific applications.
Advanced Power and Flight Control
A new power board provides greater reliability and redundancy, with dual 5V and 12V DC-DC converters designed for sensitive electronics. The drone features the Cube Orange Plus flight controller, which includes temperature-compensated triple IMUs and vibration-dampening technology to ensure smooth performance.
Availability
The Arcsky X55 V2 is now available for order. More details can be found on the Arcsky website or by contacting the company at info@arcskytech.com.
