Texas EquuSearch has gotten permission from the Federal Aviation Administration to start using a drone to assist in the search for a missing Fort Worth woman.
Use of the unmanned aircraft can start at 8 a.m. Thursday, said Tim Miller, founder and director of the Houston-based search-and-recovery team.
The group joined the search this week for Christina Morris, 23. She was last seen on Aug. 30 at The Shops at Legacy in Plano. Her car was found in a parking garage there.
On Wednesday, almost 60 volunteers searched on foot, on horses and on all-terrain vehicles, Miller said.
