Quantum-Systems Opens Huntsville, Alabama Outpost

August 25, 2026 by staff Leave a Comment

The U.S. subsidiary of the Quantum Systems Group opens a 3,200-square-foot engineering and R&D office in Huntsville’s Cummings Research Park corridor.

Quantum-Systems Inc. opened a 3,200-square-foot engineering and research and development office in Huntsville, Alabama, on August 24, 2026. The site sits in Upland Park, adjacent to Cummings Research Park, the second-largest research park in the United States. The office moves engineering and R&D resources closer to U.S. defense customers and partners.

Quantum-Systems Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of the Quantum Systems Group. The company builds unmanned systems for tactical intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and target acquisition missions. Its deep-tech portfolio covers aerodynamics, flight controls, computer vision, autonomy, cloud infrastructure, simulation and manufacturing engineering.

Rocket City proximity

Huntsville hosts Army program offices, prime contractors and emerging defense technology firms. Locals call the city “Rocket City” for its aerospace heritage. The Upland Park location places Quantum-Systems engineers near those government and industry stakeholders.

“Huntsville sits at the center of defense and aerospace innovation,” said Dave Sharpin, CEO of Quantum-Systems Inc. “Establishing a presence here allows us to work more closely with our customers, expand our engineering bench, and accelerate the development of next-generation unmanned systems. We’re also excited to become part of the Huntsville community, collaborating with local partners and contributing to the continued growth of one of the nation’s leading defense technology hubs.”

Quantum-Systems Huntsville expansion

The Huntsville office is now operational. It will support engineering growth, customer collaboration and continued development of next-generation unmanned intelligence capabilities. Quantum-Systems develops integrated hardware, software and AI systems in-house. The company markets those systems for dual-use missions across defense and commercial domains. The Huntsville launch extends a broader growth push that included a February 2026 financing round aimed at European security markets.
