Flying Lion Launches DroneBooth for Rapid Drone Dock Deployment

March 25, 2026 by Miriam McNabb 1 Comment

Portable system enables 24×7 operations without fixed power or internet infrastructure

Flying Lion, Inc. has announced the release of DroneBooth™, a portable enclosure designed to support drone dock operations in locations without permanent infrastructure. The company introduced the system on March 24, 2026, and will showcase it at the ISC West conference in Las Vegas.

The DroneBooth is designed to allow organizations to deploy drone dock systems quickly in the field. It operates without fixed power or internet connections, supporting use in remote or temporary locations.

Designed for Rapid Deployment

DroneBooth requires only a space roughly the size of a parking spot in a secure area. The system supports multiple dock platforms, including DJI Dock 2 and 3, Skydio Dock for X10, and Hex Universal Docks.

The enclosure includes self-contained power and connectivity. This design allows for multi-day, standalone operations and supports continuous drone activity.

“DroneBooth was built to make rapid deployment simple—if you have a secure parking-space-sized location near your operating area, you can get aerial coverage where you need it,” said Barry Brennan, Founder and President of Flying Lion. “And because the DroneBooth is designed to leverage Flying Lion’s remote pilot services, organizations can extend operations by leveraging Flying Lion’s Beyond Line of Sight (BVLOS) waivers for a turnkey 24×7 aerial security solution.”

Applications Across Public Safety and Infrastructure

The system is designed for use in a range of scenarios. These include event security at large gatherings such as concerts and sporting events. It also supports infrastructure monitoring across sectors such as transportation, energy, water, communications, and agriculture.

DroneBooth may also support emergency response. It can operate in areas affected by natural disasters, where power and connectivity may be limited or unavailable.

Flying Lion provides full operational support for deployments. Services include installation, configuration, maintenance, regulatory support, and remote pilot staffing. Organizations can access the system through monthly or annual lease options.

Compact and Mobile Design

The DroneBooth has a footprint similar to a standard pallet. Its dimensions are 40 inches wide, 48 inches long, and 80 inches high, excluding the dock hardware. This compact size allows for easier transport and setup in constrained environments.

Industry Context: Expanding Drone-in-a-Box Capabilities

Drone-in-a-box systems continue to gain traction in public safety and infrastructure operations. These systems allow drones to deploy from fixed or semi-fixed locations with minimal human intervention.

The introduction of portable solutions like DroneBooth reflects growing demand for flexible deployment models. Organizations are seeking ways to extend aerial coverage without building permanent infrastructure. This is especially relevant for temporary events and emergency response scenarios.

As regulatory pathways for beyond visual line of sight operations continue to evolve, integrated systems that combine hardware, connectivity, and remote pilot services may play a larger role in scaling drone programs.

Debut at ISC West

Flying Lion will present DroneBooth at ISC West, taking place March 25–27, 2026, in Las Vegas. The company will exhibit at Booth 14140.
