DroneBase & Hangar Partner on Architecture, Engineering & Construction Solution

September 26, 2019 by Malek Murison 4 Comments

This week global airspace intelligence specialist AirMap acquired Hangar, a platform for managing drone workflows. It’s one of several recent deals that integrates solutions for enterprise operations.

A knock-on effect of AirMap’s Hangar acquisition is that certain third parties are brought further into the fold. One of those is drone service provider DroneBase.

On the back of this week’s news regarding AirMap and Hangar, DroneBase has announced a new partnership with Hangar focused on the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industries.

The software partnership will see DroneBase become the go-to service provider for all of Hangar’s US JobSight customers.

The JobSight solution provides AEC enterprises with technology that documents progress, manages teams, and bridges the divide between disparate build projects.

Hangar’s JobSight platform gives AEC enterprises real-time visibility across sites to document progress, manage teams, and build smarter.

DroneBase has a history of working with both AirMap and Hangar. Last year the company partnered with Hangar to expand the reach of the latter’s 4D Insights solution. DroneBase’s Pilot Network relies on airspace data and APIs from AirMap in the US and in over 70 countries, ensuring airspace awareness, compliance, and authorization when flying in controlled environments.

“By offering an end-to-end solution for customers in AEC, DroneBase can better understand the needs of this industry and identify additional ways businesses can benefit from drone technology,” said Dan Burton, Founder and CEO of DroneBase.

“Through our long-standing relationships with both AirMap and Hangar, we have helped create a thriving drone industry. This partnership will only enhance how enterprises leverage drone data.”

“Using Hangar’s JobSight, any AEC company can get on-demand access to drone-enabled insights across projects,” said David Hose, CEO of AirMap. “Combining this with DroneBase’s professional drone services network makes it easy, valuable, and scalable to integrate drones into day-to-day operations.”
