50% Submission Discount for DroneUp Film Festival

Last month we reported that the inaugural DroneUp International Film Festival is to be held this August in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. On August the 19th and 20th, Plovdiv’s famous Roman stadium will host filmmakers from around the world as they present their best work in front of a live audience and compete for prizes.

We’ve teamed up with DroneUp to offer DroneLife readers the chance to submit their best videos for 50% less than the normal submission rate. All films submitted for entry at DroneUp International Film Festival must be:

• 6 minutes or less in length
• Shot at least 50% by drone or UAV
• Fall under one of the six DroneUp film categories

Aerial photographers can enter videos in the following six categories: Nature, Urban, Culture & Sport, Travel, Extreme, and Narrative & Cinematic.

All film submissions will be viewed and judged by an international DroneUp Jury consisting of industry professionals. The DroneUp Jury will shortlist all entries and announce a screening selection on July 16th, 2016. All shortlisted films are automatically nominated for the DroneUp Prizes.

If a video is selected for screening, the entrant will be required to submit a high-resolution exhibition quality digital file to enable the best presentation possible. DroneUp IFF reserves the right to convert sent files to alternate formats at the discretion of the festival manager to ensure optimal screening quality.
