Exponent Technology Services, a Dubai-based company that designs and builds enterprise solutions to assist companies in asset tracking and supply chain management using sensors and UAS (Unmanned Aerial Solutions), is now expanding to the United States.
Exponent was founded in 2012 by Asam Khan, a graduate of Columbia University (B.Sc ’91) and Penn State University (M.Sc ’93). Mr. Khan and his team have designed, tested and implemented solutions that integrate into a variety of technologies. These solutions include:
- Inventory tracking – a steel yard using Exponent’s technology was able to track up to 1,000 RFID tagged objects across 10,000 square meters in 6 minutes
- Asset tracking – Exponent designed, tested and commercialized a (UAS)-based asset tracking system that allowed customers to autonomously track thousands of cars spread over thousands of square meters in just minutes, providing them with a real-time view of their car inventory by VIN number and the geo-location of each asset.
- Web- based software – Exponent’s SAAS allows its clients, through their web browser or mobile phone, to view real-time all aspects of a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) mission. This includes key flight parameters such as speed and altitude as well as real-time output of the payload, whether it is RFID reads, infrared scans or high definition imagery. This tool allows clients to direct missions and receive instant feedback remotely, substantially increasing the productivity of their enterprise.
“We are thrilled to have Exponent expand into the US and allow companies to take advantage of our innovative technologies around a variety of asset tracking options to streamline inventory and management of assets,” said Tom Tilson, US commercial manager for Exponent.“Our UAS solutions can include a variety of payload for each specific use case. Whether implementation includes bar codes, QR codes, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), infrared, high definition cameras or bio-metrics, UAS coupled with cloud-based software solutions are tailored and scalable to the scope and budgetary requirements of a particular business.”
Exponent will be introducing their company to the US at the Xponential 2016 trade show in New Orleans May 2-5, 2016.You can visit them at Booth 273.Exponent’s US office is located north of Boston in Danvers, MA. You can learn more about Exponent technology and solutions on their web site.
