2014 was a great year for Dronelife and as we continue to grow in 2015, we will be introducing new features on the site. For starters, we are rolling out industry specific pages that cater to the industries we believe will be the first to reap the benefits of UAV technology. The pages will provide news and use cases of drone use from all over the world so as to demonstrate, educate, and inspire other businesses that may be curious about drones.
Our first industry specific pages are dronesforfirefighting.com, dronesforhouses.com, and dronesforprecisionag.com. These pages curate stories about how firemen, real estate agents, and farmers (respectively) are using drones and provide examples and recommendations for similar professionals looking to acquire their first drone.
Moving forward, we will also be rolling out pages specific to other industries but we are open to suggestions! If there is an industry you think will quickly benefit from drone technology, we would love to hear about it in the comments. We also want to hear about additional features you would like to see. Would you benefit from a forum where companies can discuss their experiences with various UAV models? Or perhaps a section from AMAs with UAV manufacturers? Sound off in the comments!

Drones for Mapping
Andrew Amato says
This is a good one! We have talked about it and we are still figuring out how to do it… the thing with mapping isn’t so much the drone itself, it’s the payload. Mapping is about the right camera/sensor and appropriate processing software.

Don’t forget drones for Search and Rescue.

Could this fall under the umbrella of Police force drones? We have that one in the pipeline!
