Happiness from the Skies. That is the name of the ad campaign devised by Ogilvy & Mather and the Singapore Kindness Movement in which cans of Coke were delivered via drones to the migrant construction workers building the city’s skyscrapers. Attached to each can of Coke was a picture/message thanking the workers for their efforts. 2,734 notes/cans were to delivered to workers on site.
The idea was to bridge the gap between the Singaporean nationals working and living in all the new buildings and the migrant workers constructing them, who are very far from hearth and home.
While you watch the video and see the workers’ smiles, keep in mind this kind of thing would be dubbed illegal in the U.S. No matter how you feel about Coca-Cola and/or commercial drone use, you have to admit this concept has a lot of potential .
