DJI has continued their expansion into non-drone related industries with their new super-fast chargers for their existing battery bank systems, expanding the ever-growing DJI Power ecosystem. Both the new DJI Power 1.8kW Car/Solar Super Fast Charger and the DJI Power 1kW Super Fast Car Charger can support super-fast car recharging for the DJI Power 1000 and DJI Expansion Battery, making them suitable for the power storage and electrical systems of RVs and regular cars.
Working in conjunction with a vehicle’s electrical system, the 1kW Super Fast Car Charger can recharge the Power 1000 using the power produced by a car’s alternator. It can also connect to a car’s battery and reverse-charge it with Power 1000 to prevent battery drain, achieving intelligent two-way charging and capacity expansion of the car battery. Additionally, the Power 1000 can be paired with the 2048 Wh expansion battery to provide 3072 Wh of battery backup and an ultra-high power output of 2400 to 2600 W.
For road trips, the 1.8kW Super Fast Charger can expand the capacity of an RV’s electrical system using solar power. The charger can be connected simultaneously to solar panels and an RV’s alternator, charging the DJI Power systems even faster. At home, the 1.8 kW Super Fast Charger can serve as an emergency power reserve. It can be connected to solar panels to provide a max 1800W of solar power1 to quickly recharge a Power 1000 and an expansion battery. The Power 1000 can also be paired with up to five DJI Power Expansion Battery 2000 units, providing up to 11264 Wh of backup power.
“In adding Super Fast Chargers to the DJI Power Series, we want to equip every user for every scenario. From adventurers driving cross country in an RV to families wanting eco-friendly backup power in case of emergencies, these accessories will ensure users are prepared for any situation,” said Ferdinand Wolf, Product Experience Director at DJI. “In launching the DJI Power series earlier this year, we built this product line based on over a decade of battery research and development and will continue to expand our offerings in the months and years to come.”
