Funding to Support Expansion and Innovation in Addressing Rogue Drone Threats
D-Fend Solutions has announced the successful initial closing of a $31 million investment round. The funding was led by Israel Growth Partners (IGP), with contributions from existing investor Vertex Ventures and new investor Vertex Growth. This financial backing will support the company in advancing its counter-drone technology and expanding its global presence.
Strategic Investment to Address Evolving Drone Threats
The company plans to use the funds to enhance its technology, extend its market reach, and address new and evolving drone risks. This comes as rogue drone incidents continue to increase, posing challenges to security in sensitive environments.
“This funding is a testament to the trust our investors have in our vision, technology, growth, brand, and customer base,” said Zohar Halachmi, CEO and Chairman of D-Fend Solutions. “The growing size, scope, and complexity of rogue drone threats demands advanced, precise, and reliable solutions. This investment will enable us to continue innovating and expanding our capabilities, ensuring we remain at the forefront of counter-drone technology, while delivering unparalleled control, safety and, uniquely, operational continuity to our global defense, homeland security, law enforcement, airport, and critical infrastructure customers.”
EnforceAir: A Solution for Sensitive Environments
D-Fend Solutions’ flagship product, EnforceAir, utilizes radio frequency (RF) cyber-takeover technology to neutralize rogue drones. This non-kinetic approach ensures operational continuity while mitigating threats without collateral damage. The technology has been widely deployed in military zones, critical infrastructure sites, airports, and other sensitive areas.
EnforceAir has been recognized as an innovative tool in the counter-drone space. Booz Allen Hamilton named its cyber takeover effector among the top emerging non-kinetic counter-unmanned aerial systems (UAS) technologies. D-Fend Solutions describes its approach as “highly controlled and surgical,” providing a solution tailored to meet the needs of diverse environments.
Global Expansion and Strategic Growth
D-Fend Solutions operates in nearly 30 countries, including those in the Five Eyes (FVEY) alliance, G7, and NATO. The company reported over 60% year-over-year revenue growth, driven by balanced geographic and sector expansion. With this new investment, D-Fend aims to penetrate additional market segments, form new partnerships, and integrate with more technologies.
IGP General Partner Uri Erde will join the company’s Board of Directors, alongside representatives from existing investors Vertex Ventures and Claridge Israel. Erde expressed confidence in the company’s potential, stating, “D-Fend Solutions fits the profile and model which we find very attractive—a category-creating company that develops and deploys deep and defensible technology to address threats posed by the mass proliferation of beneficial but also potentially dangerous devices and products, in this case drones.”
A Growing Market for Counter-Drone Solutions
As drones become more prevalent, the need for counter-drone technology continues to rise. D-Fend Solutions aims to address these challenges through innovative solutions that provide both safety and continuity. With this significant funding round, the company is poised to expand its influence and continue delivering cutting-edge technology to customers worldwide.
