EagleView Assess Provides Autonomous Drone-Based Property Intelligence

by DRONELIFE Staff Writer Ian M. Crosby

Geospatial technology leader EagleView announced today the launch of EagleView Assess, an autonomous drone technology solution granting residential property intelligence. The solution features optimal resolution imagery, along with anomaly detection and roof measurement.

EagleView Assess gives contractors, adjusters, and insurance carriers access to unbiased evidence of roof damage, and autonomously launches from the ground without the need for a pilot. The combination of autonomy and property intelligence streamlines the claims process, expediting claim acceptance and repairs. Currently in use by industry leaders in Insurance, contractors will be able to join the waitlist for EagleView Assess starting today.

“Roofers spend inordinate amounts of time individually inspecting roof damage. From worrying about clear images of damage to climbing a roof, with EagleView Assess, we provide the level of quality our customers already trust and now damage detection all done autonomously,” said Allan York, EagleView’s VP and General Manager of Construction. “Now contractors can focus on the claim instead of being a better drone pilot.”

EagleView Assess leverages artificial intelligence, machine learning and real-time 3D processing in order to gather, catalogs, and assess shingles for damage, resulting in an unbiased and independent data set.

EagleView Assess is capable of gathering measurements and roof condition data, capturing imagery with automated obstacle detection, providing contractors with imagery for lead canvassing and validating quality of work following completion of a job, and accelerating the process from estimate to repair.

“We believe that EagleView Assess will be a trusted source of property intelligence for the roofing industry,” said Piers Dormeyer, President of EagleView’s Commercial Division. “Since our inception, we’ve served the roofing community with data of the highest quality. EagleView Assess is the next critical step in providing unparalleled services that transform and advance the industry.”
