From the (Virtual) Floor of Commercial UAV Expo: Parrot and Skyward Partner on ANAFI USA

Parrot and SkywardSince Parrot announced the ANAFI USA drone earlier this year, the French drone manufacturer has formed a slew of strategic partnerships with major and minor drone companies in the U.S.  Today,  Parrot and Skyward, a Verizon Company, a leading enterprise drone solution provider, announced a partnership that will provide a trusted end-to-end solution for large enterprise customers.

The Skyward and Parrot partnership will “deliver Parrot ANAFI drones along with Skyward drone program management, flight log sync, and training to U.S. enterprises,” says a Skyward release. “…Sold by Skyward, the ANAFI USA and training package gives enterprises a one-stop shop for building and scaling a drone program with aircraft, policies and procedures, training, and automatic flight log sync to the software platform to manage it all.”

“ANAFI USA was designed to meet the needs of the most demanding professional users while offering enterprise data security and privacy,” said Henri Seydoux, founder and CEO of Parrot. “Now, combined with Skyward’s enterprise drone solutions covering training and integrated software platforms, professional users have access to one of the most comprehensive suites of hardware, software, and services.”

ANAFI USA was recently named one of the U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD) “Blue sUAS” – a list of five “trusted and secure” U.S.-manufactured drone solutions.  While Parrot is a French company, ANAFI USA was designed in collaboration with the U.S. DoD Defense Innovation Unit and is manufactured in the U.S.  Parrot’s ANAFI USA features “an industry-first 32x zoom, 4K HDR video, and thermal imaging capabilities. It’s ultraportable, weather-resistant, and ready to launch in 55 seconds,” says the release.  Combined with Skyward’s well-known solutions for enterprise drone programs, the Parrot and Skyward partnership could provide a compelling solution for large enterprise.

“Now enterprises can maximize their investment in the ANAFI USA by pairing it with Skyward’s in-person and online operator training and robust management platform,” said Mariah Scott, President of Skyward, A Verizon company. “This is just the beginning of a strong partnership with Parrot. Look for continued feature integration and connectivity offerings as we move the industry forward together.”
