The commercial drone industry generally agrees that the value is in the data, not the drone – and the data and workflow requirements for many of the industries investing in drone technology differ. Many drone companies have realized that they need to go where there customers are – and some are ditching drone expos for construction or mining conferences. Commercial UAV Expo, however, is where customers from many verticals show up for educational sessions – and to compare solutions.
The vertical focus, which includes industries including Construction; Energy & Utilities; Forestry & Agriculture; Infrastructure & Transportation; Mining & Aggregates; Public Safety & Emergency Services, Security; and Surveying & Mapping, means that customers and service providers get to hear from their stakeholders, learn about new technologies, and collaborate on ways to make drone programs more valuable.
The following is a Commercial UAV Expo Americas press release.
