In a sign that the drone market is shifting from smaller service proiders to larger enterprise programs as larger companies complete their proof of concept trials and shift towards scaling operations, DroneDeploy is making a bigger step into the large enterprise market. The Summer 2019 release – which offers many new features, including new drone support, new training features, and 3D measurements and annotations – introduces a tightly integrated, end-to-end platform solution. The release will offer a competitive solution for larger enterprise programs that need the ability to scale operations more easily, centered on DroneDeploy’s robust mapping solution.
“We’re proud Summer 2019 will offer further insight into why DroneDeploy is the one integrated solution that helps capture all your data, ensure flights are safe and compliant, and gather rapid insights to make real-time decisions,” says the DroneDeploy announcement.
DroneDeploy was one of the first solutions to feature widespread integration, building an ecosystem of tools for a huge variety of applications in their App Market. The Operations Suite makes it easier for large companies to implement an end-to-end solution: consolidated flight logs so that managers can oversee their team; a manual flight mode to allow flexibility for data capture; and new workflow integrations.
It’s a horizontal solution in a vertical marketplace, and it has the potential to be a market leader. Service providers accustomed to the flexibility and quality of the mapping data may find it much easier to adopt integrated program management and workflow tools from DroneDeploy than it is to build a new enterprise system.
