The EUROPEAN DRONE SUMMIT (EDS) premiers on October 15, 2018 in Frankfurt, Germany. Running throughout the week the EDS, along with the well established INTERAERIAL SOLUTIONS, brings together UAV DACH experts to explore the legal aspects, technology issues and the areas of applied technology that are transforming the way that companies do business around the globe. The focus this year is on economic benefit and safety.
The show joins with the INTERAERIAL SOLUTIONS part of INTERGEO, one of the largest drone fairs in Europe that is taking place on October 16-18 in Frankurt.
Discounts on Admission are still available here.
The show will feature a number of industry thought leaders by leading drone companies and associations such as Intel, DJI, Airmap, Dedrone, EASA, and UVSI.
When asked who should attend, Michael Wieland, Managing Director of UAV DACH e.V. – Unmanned Aviation Association told DroneLife that, “Decision makers at a director, management or operations level that are looking into applying Drone technologies professionally will benefit from attending. The conference will explore the economic benefits of using drones for such diverse applications such as inspection, surveying, construction, and media as well as the new rules for 2019 as to how to implement those technologies safely.”
He continued, “The two events are designed to first make decision makers aware of the new rules guiding drone implementation in Europe and how they will change the entire market and the EDS 2018 will discuss how it affects their industries.”
The aim of the conference is to define the demands placed on drone technology and services and showcase state-of-the-art industrial solutions. “The EUROPEAN DRONE SUMMIT bridges the gap between drone manufacturers and the industrial sectors that have yet to deploy drones as a production tool,” explains Jörg Schamuhn, COO of Yuneec Europe GmbH.
“As more industries are increasingly unlocking the power of data to fuel business transformation, many of them are turning towards the skies. Managing and inferring insights from this data will be the digital transformation that we expect in the coming future. Drones are a valuable tool to capture data more accurately, efficiently, and safely. We can expect to see emerging applications for this technology that help businesses automate everyday tasks and identify, analyze and predict issues in a way that could not be done before,” said Anil Nanduri, vice president and general manager, Intel Drone Group.
