Our friend at Roswell Test Crew, just took a first look at Aeryon SkyRaider product that was just announced at AUVSI. The product announced in a press conference by their US division and focused on the defense sector. The 12 minutes video includes a product overview that begins at about the five minute mark and the 11 minute mark gives the product specifications.
The video shows a mock “mission” using troop who use a drone to carry a payload from a more forward troop deployment to “behind” lines. The payloads for the product are modular that they quote can support up to a 4.4 lbs. payload, carry a camera with a range of up to 3 kilometers, or use an infra red camera. They quote setup times prior to flight of 1 minute for an experienced operator and 3 minutes for novice. Flight times are estimated to be between 35-50 minutes (depending upon payload) with a range of up to 10 KM with a directional antenna.
Announced is kicked off by CEO Kevin McHale for the Aeryon USA division that is focused on the US defense marketplace.
