Last week we reported that a credible source had informed us that EHANG, the drone manufacturer, was considering filing for bankruptcy.
In an email seeking confirmation and insight, EHANG CEO and co-founder Derrick Xiong wrote, “to answer you directly, not at all and we are at [sic] very good financial position.”
EHANG earned a quite a bit of press attention when it was announced that Dubai would be reviewing the EHANG 184 for its UAV passenger efforts. Dubai is making progress in that area; but with drone firm Volocopter.
EHANG’S social media presence has also been very quiet of late. The most recent post to Facebook is early April.
The Ehang’s 184 drone was on display at the Defence and Security Exhibition International show in London last month.
