FLIR Reveals Duo Pro R Thermal Imaging Camera at InterDrone 2017

Randall Warnas, FLIRThe Roswell Test Flight Crew met with several companies while attending Interdrone in Las Vegas last week. In this episode, Patrick Sherman of the Roswell Flight Test Crew hears from Randall Warnas of FLIR about the Duo Pro R: a combined infrared and visible light camera, featuring a Tau2 thermal imaging core, delivering 640×480 pixels or 336×256 pixels. The visible light camera captures 4K video and still images up to 12 megapixels. It also incorporates a GNSS receiver with GPS and GLONASS compatibility, as well as its own Inertial Measurement Unit, as well as accelerometers, gyroscopes and a barometer for geolocation of images in map-making missions. It also features MAVLink integration and both digital and analog video outputs, for ease of integration with different types of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). In addition, the Duo Pro R provides radiometric capabilities, meaning the thermal imager can deliver an accurate temperature measurement of any pixel within the camera’s field of view.
