Intel Chooses Delair-Tech as Strategic Partner on Intel Insight

DRONELIFE named French company Delair-Tech as one of the top European drone companies last year – not just because of their time in the industry and robust enterprise solution, but because of the thought leadership they provide.

Silicon valley giant Intel, heavily invested in the drone industry and a bellweather for future trends, agrees.  Intel has chosen Delair as a strategic partner in the development of the Intel Insight Platform, announced at this week’s InterDrone conference.

The Intel Insight Platform is a cloud-based data processing, analytics and reporting service that allows customers to store, share, and manage the rich data that commercial drone systems provide. The development combines Delair’s deep customer experience and vertical expertise with Intel’s experience in developing customer-focused, easy to use cloud-based tools.

Delair has been providing drone data processing to clients since 2013, as part of their end-to-end solution.  Their automated analytics tools have provided significant value to enterprise for several years.  The new platform will address a range of commercial applications and verticals –  inspections and surveying in construction, mining, precision agriculture, oil & gas and more. The solution can generate 2D and 3D models, taking measurements and making annotations for sharing across teams, as well as run advanced data analytics like change detection and plant counting.  The Intel Insight platform is designed to be used by subject matter experts rather than drone operators in enterprise organizations.

“It’s all about workflow,” says Delair’s CEO, Michael de Lagarde.  “What we want is to make this platform the center of aerial data for customers.”

Intel believes the robust cloud-based platform will help drive enterprise adoption.  Announced as part of Intel CEO Brian Krzanich’s keynote address, the platform goes along with Intel’s introduction of impressive automation and obstacle avoidance in their commercial drone, the Falcon 8; and their focus on drone data, from capture to actionable insight.  The new solution is the latest development in Intel’s nonstop drive into the enterprise drone market – and it represents a win for Intel, Delair and commercial customers.
