Frank Schroth
The Roswell Test Flight Crew are on hand the NAB show to report on a variety of UAV developments. In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew speaks with Antonio Cugini of FoxFury Lighting Solutions about several of the company’s products, on display at the NAB 2017 show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Rugo is a small, battery-powered light that can be attached to the limbs or landing struts of drones from DJI, Yuneec, Autel Robotics and other manufacturers. It incorporates a lens slider, allowing the user to change the focus of the beam, from a narrow spotlight to a wide-angle floodlight, all in a rugged, waterproof housing. The company is also developing a new version of the Rugo to serve as a high-intensity beacon for drones during night flying operations. In addition, the company manufactures the Nomad: a self-contained, battery-powered light for remote field operations. The compact Nomad unfolds to become its own tripod and is capable of running for up to 24 hours using its internal batteries.
