Drone Volt Stampedes New Distribution Deal

French UAV company Drone Volt hopes to shock the UAS industry with a high-wattage partnership with Stampede, a major distributor of integrated AV/IT technology solutions. The New York-based firm will market Drone Volt service craft predominately to the security, agriculture, cinematography, architecture, construction, mapping and mining sectors.

“Drones continue to become a vitally important part of a complete solution in a growing number of vertical markets,” Stampede President and COO Kevin Kelly said. “As [Drone Volt expands] their market focus from Europe to the Americas, we will help them achieve all of their long-term growth objectives by providing them with the sales, training, and customer service support they need to make their product line a mainstay of our resellers’ portfolio of offerings.”

One of Drone Volt’s more popular products is the Hercules 5 UF – a UAV designed for security work and equipped with a zoom-stabilized and night vision-enabled camera.

The Hercules 10 features a high-pressure nozzle for surface cleaning and site inspection. Last year, Drone Volt unveiled the Janus 360, a drone dedicated to 360-degree virtual-reality content production.

“The market demand for service drones is growing and expanding at a dramatic rate around the world, and is even outpacing the overall drone industry growth,” Drone Volt Executive VP of Sales and Marketing Daniel Roe said. “We believe that partner is Stampede because they are uniquely prepared to handle all the diverse markets we represent. This partnership is a great opportunity for us to expand our drone business in the most important territory in the world. We’re excited to be working with their organization.”

Drone Volt has shocked the UAV world this past year with several key announcements. In December, the company released an agricultural drone capable of spraying crops. The modified Hercules model boasts a smart autopilot with two “solution-spreading” arms. At CES 2017, Drone Volt announced production of the Janus VR-Bot, a “ground-based drone … for VR and cinema content creation which may also be used also in construction, architecture and for media applications like virtual tours.”
