The world’s top drone racers will race up to 80 mph in the first annual Drone Race on an indoor race course custom designed by MultiGP, the sanctioning body and leading drone racing league for first-person view radio-controlled aircrafts. The specially designed drone race course inside the Los Angeles Convention Center will be larger than other indoor courses and feature more advanced obstacles. Expo attendees will be able to view the race from a massive spectating area.

The IDE Drone Race event is two-part series. MultiGP hand selected perennial talent to compete in the SoCal Maker Convention qualification rounds at the Los Angeles Fairplex in Pomona, CA on November 5, 2016. Finalists from the SoCal Maker Convention have advanced – including an 11-year-old, and top racer, BrainDrain – to the IDE Drone Race Cup championship at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
