Drone professionals and enthusiasts make a significant investment in their equipment. And now there is a new way to protect that investment. New Leaf, a service contract firm based in Irving, Texas, in partnership with DRONELIFE, now offers extended warranties for drones.
Sean Hicks, CEO of New Leaf, said an extended warranty product for the exploding drone market would address a market need for drone operators that experience mishaps while flying a drone.
New Leaf’s extended warranty covers standard breakdowns and damage from collisions. It includes:
- Repair or Replace Promise
- No Deductible
- 24/7 Toll Free & Online Customer Support
- Pre-Screened & Manufacturer Authorized Service Providers
- “No Lemon” Pledge
- Fully Insured by A Rated Carrier
- Worldwide Coverage
- Coverage Begins Day One & is Inclusive of the Manufacturer’s Warranty
The partnership began last summer when it became apparent that there were no policies in the market to cover drones.
New Leaf educated themselves on the drone business and a fresh programs that extends standard factory warranties of 90 days to one, two, or three years at a modest price.
In addition to extended warranty, an offering through Drone Repair Zone features accidental damage coverage to protect consumers’ and companies’ investments in Drones. As some drones approach the cost of an automobile or a motorcycle, having accidental coverage becomes increasingly important. Most people have insurance on damage to their vehicles, why not the same for a Drone?
Harry McNabb of DRONELIFE said, “We are excited to be a part of this maturation process in our industry, and feel it represents a huge opportunity. Extended warranties and coverage for accidents will help manufacturers sell more product while giving end-users better options to protect their investment.”
