Using a drone to take photos of others on private property is now illegal in Florida.
But the new law doesn’t have a lot of bite as violators won’t actually land behind bars.
Florida Gov. Rick Scott signed a bill that says drones cannot be used to record video or take pictures of people or their property, but there are not any criminal penalties attached to the law.
Instead, people who are videoed can sue the drone operator. The new law requires victims to prove their financial damages.
