Is your week droning on? Fear not! To get over the end-of-the-week-slump, check out these videos of cool ways people are using UAS all over the world.
1) We have mentioned the crash-proof drone before, but here it is in action. Dubbed the “Gimball,” this design could prove to be an excellent method of familiarizing yourself with flying a drone, without having to worry about crashing into someone. Sort of like training wheels for UAS.
2) Once you’re ready to take the training wheels off, you can test your drone-jedi skills with a friend and play ‘follow the leader’ like YouTube user rainrex did. For an added bonus of difficulty, use first-person-vision goggles!
Or better yet, merge the Gimball and ‘follow the leader’ concepts and you could play drone-tag!…which would inevitably devolve into drone-jousting…which would be awesome.
3) Finally this week, we have another edible drone. Joining the likes of the Carrotcopter and the Choc0-drone, the latest in flying food is the Pretzel Copter…which should have a better name. If you have any suggestions, let us know in the comments.
