The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International or AUVSI projects unmanned aerial vehicles or UAVs could be responsible for 100,000 new jobs by 2025. More than 80 percent of those could be in agriculture.
Companies like Memphis, Tenn.-based Entira are trying to learn all they can about the phenomenon so they can help educate their clients on their use, according to Kelli Polatty, an associate with Entira who spoke at the monthly meeting of the Mid-South National Agri-Marketing Association chapter.
