New DF Sensor Designed for Comprehensive Drone Detection
Netline Communications Technologies Ltd., a prominent developer of electronic warfare and tactical spectrum dominance systems, has introduced a new direction-finding (DF) sensor designed to detect and locate drones, including standard, non-standard, and DIY variants. This innovative sensor addresses the rapidly evolving drone threats in war zones and conflict areas.
A Comprehensive Solution for Elusive Drone Threats
Netline’s latest development aims to provide a robust solution for detecting all drone threats within a covered area. Innovative and Adaptive Algorithm
The new DF sensor operates based on an innovative algorithm that requires no specific data. It follows a three-step detection process:
- Spectrum Scanning: The sensor scans the spectrum for all radio frequencies (RF) within the relevant bands.
- Target Separation: A hybrid algorithm separates potential targets from the noisy spectral environment.
- Threat Assessment: The sensor tracks suspicious targets and defines their threat levels based on various parameters.
Strategic deployment of two or more DF sensors within a covered area enables precise localization through the intersection of direction lines, ensuring effective drone detection and localization.
Integration with Battle-Proven Mitigation Systems
Netline’s DF sensor complements its existing range of drone mitigation systems. Utilizing software-defined radio (SDR) technology, Netline’s jammers can disrupt communication between drones and their operators, block GNSS signals, and cover all potential drone frequencies. Mr. Palti adds, “At Netline we constantly learn and monitor the evolving threats in different war zones around the world to develop critical and rapid solutions. Our R&D teams have developed this innovative and adaptive algorithm that recognizes common factors of airborne threats, indicating their existence without needing specific data.”
