D-Fend Solutions, a leader in radio frequency (RF), cyber-based, non-kinetic, non-jamming, counter-drone detection and takeover mitigation technology, has announced its extended participation in the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Airport Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Detection and Mitigation Research Program. The program is designed to enhance the safety and efficiency of airport and National Airspace System (NAS) operations.
The company’s core Counter-UAS system, EnforceAir, was recently tested at Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR), marking its deployment at a second airport site. The system had previously been selected for the FAA Program at Atlantic City International Airport (KACY).
D-Fend Solutions’ rapid progression from initial testing at one airport to further assessment at a second airport is a significant achievement for program participants. This progression demonstrates that their product performs as advertised, generates reliable and accurate data, and warrants further evaluation in another operational setting.
This program expansion follows a series of successful milestones achieved by the company in recent months, including the expansion of the US team and the launch of EnforceAir2.
D-Fend Solutions is a leading provider of counter-drone takeover technology, offering full control, safety, and continuity during rogue drone incidents across complex and sensitive environments. The company’s core offering, EnforceAir, focuses on the most dangerous drone threats in military, public safety, airport, prison, major event, and critical infrastructure environments.
