Miriam is also the CEO of JobForDrones.com, helping new commercial drone businesses find customers. She is a frequent international speaker at drone industry events and writes for DRONELIFE on current news, financial trends, and FAA regulations. Miriam has a degree from the University of Chicago and over 20 years of experience in high tech sales and marketing for new technologies. She has worked in a variety of industries including finance, software, research, and non-profit. Miriam can’t wait to see what happens next.
Peter Kalaitzidis, UAS Program Manager, NYPA
Peter is a retired military veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force for many years. He has been flying remote-controlled aircraft since he was 8 years old and has worked in the private sector as a Drone Engineer, Test & Evaluation Engineer as well as in Research & Development. Peter has developed innovative drone-based monitoring solutions for commercial, government and military applications around the world. He is currently the UAS Program Manager at New York Power Authority and previously served as the Test and Evaluation Team Leader at Easy Aerial. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology.
Brent Klavon, Chief Strategy Officer, ANRA Technologies
Brent is an accomplished professional with decades of aviation experience including leading diverse teams to meet the organizational objectives.
Previously, Brent was the Director of Commercial Drones at Aviation Systems Engineering Company, providing manned and unmanned aviation services. Prior to entering private industry, Brent logged 3,000 pilot flight hours while serving 20 years in the U.S. Navy. Brent participates in several international airspace working groups, standards organizations and research bodies. He is a FAA Commercial Pilot, Instrument Rated, Single/Multi-engine and is also a certified Remote Pilot.
Corey Hitchcock, Utility Solutions Specialist, Skydio
Corey joined Skydio as a utility solutions specialist in early 2023. Prior to Skydio, Corey led UAS Program Development and Operations with Southern Co. Aerial Services. Corey developed methods for operating drones across the nuclear, gas, and power verticals, notably flying one of the first UAS inspections on an operating nuclear reactor. At Skydio, he is developing dock based drone use cases for autonomous inspections as well as focused routine, event based, and security inspections for substations. These dock based inspections are focused on reducing the duration and frequency of outages, allowing for predictive based maintenance plans to be implemented.
