Drone Delivery Canada Launches Medical Supply Mission

Drone Delivery CanadaDrone Delivery Canada announced this week the successful launch of its second cargo drone route with DSV Air and Sea Inc. Canada using the Toronto-based company’s drone delivery platform.

DDC initially captured the contract with DSV –  a subsidiary of Danish conglomerate DSV Panalpina A/S – back in June.

Last year, DDC announced the initial partnership with the European logistics/transport group to provide a drone delivery platform to the company’s new Canadian air and sea division.

The project will allow DSV to deliver payloads such as healthcare-related cargo from a DroneSpot takeoff-and-landing zone at DSV’s warehouse in Milton, Ont. to a DroneSpot at a facility approximately 2.5 miles away owned by RB, a global producer of health, hygiene and home products

“We are excited to bring the benefits of our drone delivery solution to yet another company, RB,” DDC CEO Michael Zahra said.

“The route includes transport over Highway 401, one of the busiest highways in the world, adding a unique dimension to this project. I don’t know that any other commercial delivery drone operator has done this before. DDC’s solution is one of the most advanced in the world.”
