Shenzen-based, Chinese UAV provider Geneinno Technology has appointed Drone Solutions as the company’s new tech distributor for Southeast Asia.

The Singaporean company will market, sell and provide after-sales service for Geneinno’s underwater drones with an emphasis on the Poseidon model.

According to a company release, Poseidon features deep dive capabilities, WIFI control and “is the fastest diving drone in the ocean.” Another model offered will be the Titan Unmanned Undersea Vehicle which includes an 4K camera and 1/2.5 inch CMOS image sensor as well as 64G storage. The drone won the 2018 German Red Dot Product Design Award.

“We are most pleased to add Drone Solutions and its most professional staff to our international distributor network which will significantly improve local support and service activities,” Mandy Ren, International Sales Manager of Geneinno Technology said.

Drone Solutions Executive Director Gianluca Salone added:

“Our ability to offer best in class Geneinno products to the professional market for infrastructure, fish farming, other inland and underwater inspection activities fills the missing gap in our product offering.”

In April, Drone Solutions launched 24/7 Unmanned Search & Rescue Services, a solution to provide emergency services around the Ring of Fire – a 25,000-mile region encompassing the Asian side of the Pacific Ocean where numerous earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur.

When fully deployed, the program – announced at the Unmanned Systems Asia 2019 Exposition –will provide first-response measures to disasters in less than one hour, including surveillance, mapping and broadcasting live situational awareness to a command center while autonomous assets race to the scene for more support.

In March, Drone Solutions announced the launch of the Centre of Drone Excellence. The Centre will be staffed with engineers from several drone-related disciplines including mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, AI, acoustics/sonar and robotics engineering.
