PWP Studio 2018

Major drone conference InterDrone, which took place in Las Vegas last month, has added new industry voices to the advisory board.

New members include Sharon Rossmark, CEO and Founder of Women and Drones, the visionary networking and news website for women in the industry.  Rossmark has also been instrumental in developing some of the industry’s major events for women, including the InterDrone Women in Drones lunch.  This year, the lunch celebrated the achievements of ten “Women to Watch:” women nominated to the program by other members of the drone industry.

As a long time participant in InterDrone and an industry leader, Rossmark adds a valuable advocate for women in the industry.  “I am thrilled to be a part of the diverse thought leaders selected to serve on the InterDrone advisory board,” says  Rossmark.

Randall Warnas, Global sUAS Segment Leader at thermal imaging powerhouse FLIR, is another win for the board.  Warnas has helped FLIR to develop one of the best libraries of training resources and materials in the industy.  He’s an expert in drone applications that use thermal technology, and experienced in developing educational tools to help pilots level up.

“I have been to every Interdrone since its inception in 2015, and the show has developed as a mainstay for education and exposure for commercial drone operations. I’m honored to work with the others on the advisory board and the drone community to make 2019 the most magnetic, valuable, and inspiring Interdrone yet,” says Warnas.

Christopher Korody,Principal at DroneBusiness.center, is an expert in “connecting the dots” for the drone industry, as readers of his weekly analysis in the Dronin’ On newsletter know.  (If you are not already a subscriber, you should be – DRONELIFE readers may subscribe for free here.)  A frequent speaker and panel moderator, Korody is a familiar face at leading drone conferences and an influencer in drone media.  Korody is also a consultant for manufacturers, developers and service providers interested in pursuing the market – and he adds that valuable perspective to the advisory board.

“When I first became aware of the drone industry in I was asked to do a business plan. (Since this was pre-333 and 107 I advised my client against investing at the time.) But with a deep background in aerospace and technology I was hooked,” says Korody. “I have always done B2B sales and marketing and have launched many life changing products over my career – things like the Space Shuttle, GPS, CDs, 3D computing and the Macintosh for very large companies.  I recognized that my experience selling to and working with enterprise would be valuable to people who were perhaps brilliant technologists but not so well versed in the rest.”
