Delair Inks Marketing Deal with American UAV Service Firm

Industrial drone provider Delair inked a commercial agreement Monday with UAV sales/support firm Frontier Precision that will launch Delair’s first service centers in the U.S. while also providing a new domestic sales outlet for the French-based company.

Based in North Dakota, Frontier Precision already provides drone sales and support to clients centered in the western U.S. New Delair service centers will operate in North Dakota, Minnesota, Colorado, Alaska and Honolulu. Company officials hope the deal will expand Delair’s reach in specific markets such as utilities, power, agriculture and farming, mining, construction, transportation and geospatial.

“Frontier Precision has distinguished itself as a highly reliable and service-oriented supplier to commercial drone users in a wide range of industries. Their expertise and professionalism are great assets for us as we expand further intro the U.S. market and continue to advance how UAVs can be used to improve business efficiencies through aerial-based data collection and analysis,” Benjamin Benharrosh, head of Delair’s North American operations, said in a press release.

Delair’s product line focuses on performance fixed-wing drones capable of multi-function, integrated payloads and long-range operations using advanced analytics capabilities.

The agreement will allow Delair to better market the recently launched DT26X LiDAR UAV. The new model combines LiDAR sensing with an RGB camera on single platform. The company released details about the new model at the International Lidar Mapping Forum in Denver earlier this month.

Other models available include the new Delair UX11, which is designed for large-area mapping with centimeter-level precision. The company announced the UX11 at INTERGEO 2017 on September 26th in Berlin, Germany.
